QANTAS Trolley Mounted Vacuum Unit

This powerful air operated vacuum cleaner was developed especially to suit the needs of QANTAS maintenance crews. It utilises the well proven BRAIN wet drum filler head which has no moving parts, no electrics and is intrinsically safe.

The trolley mounted tank is conveniently sized to be able to negotiate the aisles of the workshop and has stowage loops to accommodate 30 metres of 50 mm suction hose.

The 150 mm diameter polyurethane wheels make it easy to push. They are fixed at the front and castor action with step brakes to the rear. The tank has a pushing handle at the rear.

The vacuum head has an integral jet-pump with brass jet nozzle and a high efficiency silencing muffler. Using 70 litres/ second of air supply at 6.0BAR via a 25N.B. hose it can produce up to a 70% vacuum.

The vacuum head also has an overfill protection float mechanism, a stainless steel internal wear liner and is finished externally in heavy duty industrial enamel. It is fitted to the tank with a locking ring and can be removed to access a stainless steel mesh debris collection basket designed to trap foreign objects which could otherwise block the tank drain outlet.

The trolley mounted tank is 600 wide x 900 long x 900 high with sloping floor to an 80 N.B. resilient seated butterfly valve with stainless steel blade and 80N.B. drain outlet spigot. Its capacity is 400 litres and it has an inorganic zinc silicate primed interior, finished with a 2- pack polyurethane epoxy coating so that it is impervious to solvent and chemical attack. Exterior finish is heavy duty industrial enamel.

The suction hose is also polyurethane to provide solvent and chemical resistance.
